Lovethe.Earth was founded by Esther Chase.
Esther is a digital artist. She is a web designer, a nature photographer, and a poet.
When she is not creating, Esther is a marketing professional who channels her passions into online projects that model her values.
Before starting Lovethe.Earth, Esther worked and volunteered for 10 years in the field of adult literacy, where she continually created a theory of change framework to guide her service. She is enthusiastic about applying this knowledge—as well as her experiences as an outreach librarian, a literacy tutor and trainer, and a nonprofit director—at Lovethe.Earth.
Esther holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania, where she completed the Professional Communications track and minored in Fine Art.
In high school, she completed two summer education programs before her senior year.
The first was the Regional Summer School of Excellence (RSSE), an intensive two-week ecological seminar for 40 high school juniors recommended by their teachers. RSSE includes laboratory and field site study in life sciences aboard Gannon University’s research vessel, the Environaut. Students analyze water quality and examine the evolution of Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay.
The second was Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW), a week-long program that offers incoming high school juniors and seniors a unique and challenging opportunity to see what it is like to run a business they create in small groups.
Both programs have had a profound impact on Esther’s professional and personal pursuits.
